AI agents to assist in saving lives in emergency rooms

Deutsche Telekom, Fraunhofer IAIS, and Merheim Hospital, part of Cologne City Hospitals, are currently developing an AI-supported live display for the emergency room. The aim is to reduce the workload on medical staff, minimize errors, and save lives.

Innovation center focuses on hybrid AI & agentic AI

Together with the Fraunhofer IAO, the Fraunhofer IAIS is working at the “Research and Innovation Center for Hybrid Artificial Intelligence” in Heilbronn on the development of self-learning intelligent agents - software programs that can react independently to events and take on different roles and perspectives.
