The following departments offer positions for scientific staff. Which department would you like to apply to?

Adaptive Reflective Teams ART

The ART department supports companies in their quest for finding the right structures for their business and for their subsequent implementation. We design and develop innovative concepts, business applications and software to support companies’ future development based on the latest technological advances.

Our commercial departments “Business Modeling and Analysis” and “Preventive Security” develop and offer market-driven services and solutions and tailor them to our customers’ and contractors’ specific requirements. The departments’ researchers focus on “System Modeling and Analysis” as well as “Cognitive Robotics”.

 

Enterprise Information Systems EIS

Our work focuses on the research and development of linked data strategies and technologies, supporting information, data and knowledge integration. We support technological research and development for commercial information systems and semantic technologies and apply it to large scale projects. This is why we are involved in open knowledge movements and open source projects.

Our “Enterprise Information Integration” department helps support customers to link up and integrate their heterogeneous data pools. Our research focuses on “Semantic Technologies and Linked Data”.

Knowledge Discovery KD

Our colleagues in KD offer advice and R&D solutions in Data Analytics and Machine Learning. Our services and products draw directly from large structured web, text or sensor data pools (Big Data) using partially automated intelligent processing.

Our research focuses mainly on “KI”, “Machine Learning” and “Data Science”. Our colleagues researching areas including “Big Data Analytics”, “Marketing, Market Research and Media Analysis” and “Industrial Analytics” develop market-orientated solutions.

Media Engineering ME

Colleagues from the ME department handle intelligent media systems and interactive technologies. The comprehensive and innovative data analysis methods they employ enable these technologies to fully adapt to users and to different contexts. .

Our colleagues working in “Intelligent Media and Educational Systems” develop and implement technical application systems such as Educational Learning and STEM education and learning. Our central research topics are “Artificial Intelligence” and “Deep Learning”.

NetMedia NM

The NetMedia (NM) department’s two main priorities are research of »Multimedia Pattern Recognition« and »Deep Learning«. Both are applied in the “Content Technologies and Services” and “Image Processing” areas of research.

Our scientific focus is based on statistical pattern recognition algorithms for unstructured multimedia data, such as image, voice and audio data as well as documents. We integrate our processes into search engines such as to allow our customers to use their data pools efficiently within archives and media libraries. Our image processing solutions are increasingly used in industry.
